Eighth Generation

Clarence Curtis Waful and Essie Irene Babcock were married in 1912 in Adams, Jefferson Co, NY. Essie Irene Babcock (daughter of James T. Babcock and Martha Ellen Redmond) was born on 15 Mar 1891 in Holleford, Ont, CND. She died on 24 Mar 1975 in Mercy Hospital, Watertown, Jefferson Co, NY. The funeral for she was held on 26 Mar 1975 in Black River, Jefferson Co, NY, United Methodist Church. Rev. Gayle Ruoff, pastor, officated, Wednesday at 2pm. She lived 110 W. Rutland St. in Black River, Jefferson Co, NY in 1975. She was buried in the Cory Plot, Sanford's Corners Cemetery, Calcium, Jefferson Co, NY. She came to the U.S. at age 18. She spent most of her life in Black River. She was a practical nurse for years at Black River and Watertown. She devoted much of her life to the Methodist Church as a youth leader and church school teacher.

She was a member for years of the Grarland Rebekah Lodge, and was a past noble grand. She was also a past president of the Black River-Ontario District of the United Methodist Women. Clarence Curtis Waful and Essie Irene Babcock had the following children:
