25. Isaac Cory
was born in 1717 in Weston, Middlesex Co, MA. He was baptized on
29 Dec 1723 in Watertown, Middlesex Co, MA. He died on 11 Apr 1772
in Pepperell, , MA.17 by
drowning in a River. He lived in Weston, Middlesex Co, MA. Issac,
youngest child of Thomas and Hannah (Page) Cory, was born about 1717, in Weston,
and resided in that town, where five children are recorded from 1740 to 1751.
In the Groton and Pepperell, V.R.s, there are records of Isaac Corey marring
Lydia Jewett, 14-Mar-1765. I believe that it is a second marrage for Isaac Cory.
All of his children lived in Groton for a time. Isaac Cory and Abigail Priest
were married on 12 Apr 1739. Abigail Priest
(daughter of James Priest and Sarah) was born on 31 Jul 1719 in Waltham, Middlesex
Co, MA. She died about 1760. daughter of James and Sarah
Priest.
Isaac Cory and Abigail Priest had the following children:

Cory and Lydia Jewett were married on 14 Mar 1765.
There is a record of Mrs. Lydia Corey intending to marry Abjah Wright of Phenilstown,
11-Nov-1775, in the Pepperill V.R., page 154. Since Issac died in 1772, it is
reasonable to asume that this was a second marriage for Lydia (Jewett) Cory. |
