2. John Cory II¹ was born in Sep 1639 in Southold, Suffolk Co, Long Island, NY. He died on 20 Oct 1685 in Huntington, Suffolk Co, Long Island, NY. BIOGRAPHY
John removed to Huntington, L.I. about 1660. On July 7, 1663 he bought a lot at Huntington for a home. He was granted land there in 1668, 1681 and 1682. He was at one time one of the owners of farm number nine of ten farms. He is said to be a Quaker, a man of considerable importance in Huntington, being town clerk, arbitrator, recorder, etc. His Will dated 25 January 1686 was proved 14 October 1702 Inventory of his personal property was 82 pounds 10 shillings. The Greate Booke was passed on to John III.

John Cory II and Mary Cornish were married on 15 Dec 1667 in Stamford, Fairfield Co, CT. Mary Cornish¹ (daughter of Thomas Cornish and Mary Stone) was born on 4 May 1649 in Exeter, Rockingham Co, NH. She died on 1 Dec 1702 in Huntington, Suffolk Co, Long Island, NY. John Cory II and Mary Cornish had the following children:
