1533. Robert V Cory¹ was born in Sep 1825 in Deer Creek Twp, Pickaway Co, OH. He died on 23 Apr 1879 in Elkhart Co, IN. His death was a suicide by overdose of Fowler's solution of arsenic and morphia.
Bob was eccentric auctioneer, who put a sign on his barn which read:

Lucky Bob from Ginger Hill
Never worked nor never will

Robert V Cory and Elizabeth Gordy were married on 10 Oct 1844 in Elkhart Co, IN. Elizabeth Gordy¹ (daughter of William Gordy and Jane Stewart) was born about 1825. She died on 7 Mar 1896 in Kosciusko Co, IN. John Gordy appears in History of Elkhart County, p 670. Probably a brother to Elizabeth. Several Gordies are buried near the plot of R.V. and Elizabeth Cory, including William and Jane. I beleve William died 1845, age ro, but need to document this. Robert V Cory and Elizabeth Gordy had the following children:
