46. Elanathan Cory1 was born in Sep 1702 in Elizabethtown, Essex Co, NJ. He died on 8 Oct 1766 in New Providence, Essex Co, NJ. He was buried in Presbyterian Graveyard at New Providenace (PGNP), Union Co (previously Essex Co), NJ.. He is buried in Section III-E-08. His tombstone reads:

of Elanathan Cory
who died Octr .. the 8th..,
A+D. 1766. In ye 65th
Year of his Age.

BIOGRAPHY
Will of Elnathan, 6 July 1762, Elizabeth Borough, Essex Co. NJ: To Wife Sarah, Her Dowery. Son Ebenezer, 30 acres on south side of road and my great Bible. Son Daniel, my right to lands on west side of Passaic River. Son James, 40 acres that join Benjamin Pettit. Son Joseph, 30 acres on line of John Crane. Son Thomas, my house and orchard, and contains 1/2 of the land on north side of road, joining James Cory and the other 1/2 to son, Jeremiah. Daughter Mary £15 when 18. Elnathan owned about 200 ac in Westfield, NJ and 100 ac in Elizabethtown.

Elanathan Cory and Sarah Parsons were married on 2 Jan 1728 in Elizabethtown, Essex Co, NJ. Sarah Parsons1,6 (daughter of Ebenezer Parsons Jr. and unknown) was born in Feb 1704 in Flatlands, Kings Co, Long Island, NY. She died on 24 Jan 1785 in Essex Co, NJ. Listed as Sarah Simpson in Corys of America. Elanathan Cory and Sarah Parsons had the following children:
