John and family lived in Ashland and Crawford Counties, Ohio, where their children were born. Late in life they sold their farm near Jeromesville and move to a farm they purchased in Morrow Co,OH.

John Cory and Elizabeth Cantwell were married on 3 Jan 1830 in Mansfield, Richland Co, OH. Elizabeth Cantwell¹ was born on 18 Aug 1808 in Steubenville, Jefferson Co, OH. She died on 27 Dec 1872 in Corsica, Morrow Co, OH. John Cory and Elizabeth Cantwell had the following children:
