Isaac taught in the first school, a two room log cabin in 1856-1857.
He also taught singing school, which was held in the same log cabin.
He and brother George began publishing the Sac County Democrat, the
third newspaper to be published in Sac City, Iowa, and continued until
1891. Isaac Alanson Cory and Sarah Jane Austin were married on 16 Jun 1861
in Sac City, Sac Co, IA. Sarah Jane Austin1 (daughter of Leonard Austin and
Lydia Gilbert) was born on 14 Apr 1841 in Lafayette, Allen Co, OH.
She died on 22 Jun 1901 in Sac City, Sac Co, IA. Isaac Alanson Cory
